1. Acceptance

By using entitate ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you disagree, do not use the Service. Usage is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

2. Service and Data Sources

The Service provides tools for exploring, analyzing, and visualizing publicly available Romanian company financial data (balance sheets, revenue, profit, employee data, 2011–2024).

All data is sourced from data.gov.ro, the Romanian Open Data portal managed by the Authority for the Digitalization of Romania.

3. No Government Affiliation

entitate is an independent project and is not affiliated with, authorized by, maintained, sponsored, or endorsed by ANAF (Agenția Națională de Administrare Fiscală), the Ministry of Finance, or any other Romanian government entity.

4. Warranty Disclaimer

The Service and all data, content, and visualizations are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We explicitly disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, timeliness, reliability, and non-infringement.

Financial data originates from third-party government portals. We do not create, verify, or audit this data and bear no responsibility for errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in the source data. Users acknowledge that data may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect.

5. User Responsibilities and Risk Assumption

You bear full responsibility for any decisions or actions based on information obtained through the Service. You must independently verify all information against official original sources before using it for journalistic, academic, financial, legal, or any other purpose.

The content provided is general information only and does not constitute professional, financial, legal, or tax advice.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the owners, operators, and contributors of entitate shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to:

• Lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses;
• Damages arising from access to, use of, or inability to use the Service;
• Damages arising from reliance on any data or content available through the Service, regardless of any errors therein;
• Financial or other losses resulting from information obtained through the Service;
• Unauthorized access to servers or personal information.

This limitation applies regardless of the basis of liability, whether in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory. Your exclusive remedy is to cease using the Service.

7. Intellectual Property

The company financial data is public domain, sourced from open government data under Romanian open data licensing. The platform design, source code, branding, and original content are proprietary and protected by copyright.

8. Availability and Modifications

The Service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice. These Terms may be updated periodically; the new effective date will be posted at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Applicable Law

These Terms are governed by Romanian law and applicable European Union legislation, including the GDPR. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Romania.
